Provisions of the Copyright Transfer Agreement
I. The rights of author after transferring the copyright under this form
- (1) The rights from patents, trademark, original new technology and research techniques and applications related to the contents of the Paper and other rights guaranteed by laws therefrom.
- (2) The rights of copying, duplication, and printing the Paper for use as a textbook in teaching and / or personal purposes of the author's employment or promotion, research proposal and report writing, and non-profitable advertising.
- (3) The rights to publish and distribute the Paper, fully or partially, by author-affiliated institution /organization; organizations supporting the research funds that are shown in the Paper; and author’s personal website.
- (4) The rights to use the Paper, fully or partially as teaching materials in lectures, research presentations, workshops, etc.
II. Provisory clauses for author to exercise his/her rights after transferring the copyright under this form
- (1) In case of using the Paper, fully or partially, for the allowed purposes mentioned above, it should be expressed that the copyright of the Paper is owned by Society.
- (2) The rights of Paper should not be transferred to any profit-making organization for the purpose of commercialization. Provided that, in case of exercising the right from I-(1), this clause shall not be applied to.
III. Provisory clauses related to the ownership of copyright and signature
- (1) If the Paper is owned by one author or joint authors, one designated author may sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement on behalf of the other authors.
- (2) If the Paper is owned by employer of author(s), the person-in-charge or authorized by the employer may sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement.
- (3) If the Paper is under contract with the Korean government, agency or organization to whom the copyright of the paper belongs, the Copyright Transfer Agreement may be signed by the authorized person on behalf of the organization.
- (4) By signing on the Copyright Transfer Agreement, the author pledges that this Paper has never been published in other forms except an abstract and does not include any illegal content infringing other’s copyright.
- (5) In case the text of the Paper, fully or partially, is written or distributed for the purpose of commercialization in any form before its publication in the journal, the author should not revise and/or distribute the contents of the text, fully or partially, published in the journal for the purpose of commercialization.
- (6) The royalty of publication transferred to the Korean Society on Water Environment shall be managed by the same Society.
- (7) A signed Copyright Transfer Agreement means that the author reads the contents of the Copyright Transfer Agreement carefully, understands the contents in full and agrees on its contents.
